This bottling of El Ron del Artesano is a Panama rum that is over 24 years old and finished in a Priorat wine cask. The rum was bottled at a cask strength of 54.2% alcohol. Without filtration, dyes or other additives. There are 107 bottles of this single cask.
On the nose, the rum is so wonderfully creamy, delicious and seductive. You can enjoy the rum for a wonderfully long time. Not a trace of hardness but a pleasant sweetness of candied sugar, orange peel, vanilla, barrel notes and a fine fruit. On the palate, the rum is full-bodied, creamy and perfectly balanced. Candied dried fruit, vanilla, wood, a touch of spice, some coconut and berries. The whole thing is super easy to drink and the barrel influence becomes more intense towards the end but always perfectly balanced.
What can I say. This Artesano also fully convinced me and for me there is no better address for Panama Rum. Maybe even the only bottler who manages to bring a real premium Panama rum onto the market. The different barrels in which the rums get there finish always give the rums different notes. Was able to try this rum at a trade fair directly at the stand and Mr. Launiger is super friendly and i had a great informative conversation. I finally had to treat myself with a 70cl bottle.
Diese Abfüllung von El Ron del Artesano ist ein über 24 Jahre alter Panama Rum, welcher in einem Priorat Wein Fass ein Finish bekommen hat. Der Rum wurde mit einer Fassstärke von 54,2% Alkohol abegfüllt. Ohne Filtration, Farbstoffe oder anderen Zusatzsoffen. Es gibt 107 Flaschen von diesem Single Cask.
In der Nase ist der Rum so wunderbar cremig, lecker und verführerrisch. Man kann den Rum wunderbar lange genießen. Keine Spur Härte sondern angenehme Süße von kandiertem Zucker, Orangenschale, Vanille, Fass Noten und einer feinen Frucht. Am Gaumen ist der Rum Vollmundig, cremig und perfekt ausbalanciert. Kandierte getrocknete Früchte, Vanille, Holz, eine leichte Würze, etwas Kokos und Beeren. Das ganze lässt sich super leicht trinken und der Fasseinfluss wird zum Ende intensiver aber immer perfekt ausbalanciert.
Was soll ich sagen. Auch dieser Artesano hat mich wieder voll überzeugt und für mich gibt es bei Panama Rum keine bessere Adresse. Vielleicht sogar der einzige Abfüller der es schafft einen gescheiten Panama Rum auf den Markt zu bringen. Die verschieden Fässer, in denne der Rum sein Finish bekommt geben den Rums immer unterschiedliche Noten. Konnte diesen Rum auf einer Messe direkt am Stand probieren und Herr Launiger ist super sympatisch und informatives Gespräch. Musste mir jetzt endlich mal eine 70cl Flasche gönnen.
